Zodiac Sign Selenite Charging Plate

In crystal practice, stones that are worn every day are traditionally cleansed on a regular rhythm — the idea being that they pick up the wear of daily use. A selenite plate is the simplest way to keep that ritual, because selenite is the one stone the tradition treats as self-cleansing.

The Calminds Zodiac Selenite Charging Plate is hand-carved from natural Moroccan selenite and engraved with all 12 zodiac signs (Rashi Chakra). Put your bracelets and tumbles on it overnight and pick them up in the morning — no water, no salt, no timing to remember.

What the plate is traditionally used for

• Cleansing ritual: the traditional way to cleanse other stones without water or salt, both of which damage many crystals.
• Universal design: the zodiac wheel carries all 12 signs, so one plate suits everyone in the house.
• Self-cleansing by tradition: unlike other stones, selenite is not treated as needing cleansing itself.
• Bedside or altar piece: traditionally kept where you wind down.
• No effort: place and leave. There is nothing to time.

Why choose the Calminds plate?

• Natural Moroccan selenite: genuine gypsum selenite with natural veins and a pearlescent glow (chatoyancy), checked in-house before dispatch.
• Precision laser engraving: clean, clear zodiac symbols.
• Real stone, not resin: selenite is soft, warm and silky to the touch. Resin and glass copies feel hard and cold.

Who it suits

• Anyone who wears gemstone bracelets daily

• People building a calm bedtime or meditation routine
• Families — one plate charges everyone's bracelets

What this is, and what it isn't

The mineral. Selenite is crystallised gypsum — calcium sulphate dihydrate — at Mohs 2, softer than a fingernail. It genuinely dissolves in water, which is why every care note here is emphatic about keeping it dry. Almost every selenite plate on the market, including good ones, is satin spar: the same mineral in its fibrous habit, and the reason the plate has its silky glow.

The tradition. Selenite is treated as self-cleansing in crystal practice, and the charging plate follows from that. The zodiac wheel comes from astrological tradition. Both are spiritual frameworks rather than measured properties of gypsum.

The evidence. There is no peer-reviewed scientific evidence that crystals hold, lose or transfer energy, or that a plate removes anything from a stone placed on it. What the plate honestly gives you is a place to put your jewellery at night and a small ritual at the end of the day — which is most of what a crystal practice is doing anyway.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can I charge multiple bracelets at once?

A: Yes, several bracelets or small stones can sit on the plate together.

Q: Do I need to know my Zodiac sign?

A: No. The plate carries all 12 zodiac signs, so it suits everyone.

Q: How do I know it is real selenite?

A: Real selenite has natural fibrous lines and a silky, slightly warm feel, and a fingernail will mark it. Resin and glass copies look uniform and feel hard and cold. Every plate we ship is natural stone, checked in-house before dispatch.

Q: What if it arrives broken?

A: Selenite is delicate. We use padded packaging, but if it arrives damaged, contact our support immediately.

Q: Is it safe for daily use?

A: Yes, when handled carefully. It is soft, so it chips on hard surfaces.
