About the pieces

Each angel is carved from one block of natural stone. No two are identical: colour, veining and the exact set of the carved wings vary piece to piece, and labradorite pieces will show their blue flash only at certain angles — that is the stone behaving as it should, not a fault.

The tradition

The angel is one of the most widely recognised protective figures in the world, and in crystal practice it is the form most often kept on an altar or given as a gift for someone going through something difficult. The stones follow their usual traditional associations — rose quartz with love and compassion, amethyst with calm, green aventurine with luck. Those are associations within a tradition, not properties of the minerals.

Care

Carved wings and the narrow neck are the fragile parts, and a dropped angel breaks there. Keep them on a stable surface rather than an edge. Dust with a soft dry brush. Check the product page for the stone before using water: rose quartz and amethyst both fade in prolonged sunlight, and labradorite chips along its cleavage planes.

What this is, and what it isn't

These are decorative and devotional figures carved from natural stone. Crystals have a long place in tradition and in ritual practice, and that is the spirit in which we sell them. There is no peer-reviewed evidence that any stone carries healing vibrations, offers protection, brings abundance or luck, treats a medical condition, or alters the physical energy of a room.
