Crystal Tumbles
Crystal tumbles at Calminds — pocket-sized natural stones, sold in sets of five.
What a tumble is
Tumbled stones are made by putting rough stone into a rotating barrel with progressively finer abrasive grit and running it for weeks. The process is a mechanical imitation of what a river does to a pebble over a much longer time, and it is why tumbles have no edges and no two are the same shape. It is also the cheapest way to get a stone into a usable form, which is why tumbles are where most people's collections start.
What is in the collection
Rose quartz, black tourmaline, amethyst, citrine, bloodstone, and the harder-to-find Irani turquoise. Each stone carries its own traditional association, described on its product page as tradition rather than effect.
How people use them
Kept in a pocket or a bag, held during meditation, or set out on a selenite plate. A tumble is the easiest form to carry and the easiest to lose, which is why they come in fives.
Care
Care depends entirely on the stone. Turquoise stains from perfume and sweat and is the most delicate thing here. Amethyst and citrine fade in sunlight. Black tourmaline and bloodstone are hard and take daily carry without trouble. Each product page carries its own note — do not carry turquoise loose with quartz, which will scratch it.
What this is, and what it isn't
These are polished natural stones. Crystals have a long place in tradition and in ritual practice, and that is the spirit in which we sell them. There is no peer-reviewed evidence that any stone attracts healing, clarity or balance, offers protection, treats a medical condition, or alters the physical energy of a room. Nothing on this page is medical or psychological advice.
