Ganesha Collection

Ganesha figures hand-carved from natural stone — green jade, pyrite, rose quartz, labradorite and tiger eye — each cut from a single piece rather than cast or assembled.

About the form

Ganesha is among the most widely kept figures in Indian households, traditionally installed at a doorway, on a desk, or in a home shrine, and invoked at the beginning of new undertakings. That tradition is thousands of years old and is the reason a Ganesha is usually the first figure someone buys.

Because these are carved by hand from natural stone, the detail work, the colour and the size vary between pieces of the same design. Pyrite pieces carry natural metallic flecking; labradorite shows its blue flash only at certain angles; green jade ranges from pale to deep. The piece you receive will not be identical to the photograph.

Choosing and placing

Size first — dimensions and weight are on each product page. Traditional placement is facing into the room rather than out, and at a height where it is at or above eye level when seated. Stone figures are heavy for their size; a small shelf bracket is worth checking.

Care

Dust with a soft dry cloth or brush, getting into the carved detail. Keep pyrite dry — it tarnishes and can rust with moisture. Keep rose quartz out of long direct sun, which fades it. Wipe up any water rather than letting it sit in the carving.

What this is, and what it isn't

These are devotional and decorative figures carved from natural stone. Crystals have a long place in tradition and in ritual practice, and that is the spirit in which we sell them. There is no peer-reviewed evidence that any stone treats, cures or prevents a medical condition, changes your finances, or alters the physical energy of a room. Nothing on this page is medical, psychological or financial advice.
