Cute Desk Decor

Small hand-carved figurines and desk pieces in natural gemstone — crystal elephants, tortoise sculptures and more. Seven pieces at Calminds.

About the figures

Each piece is carved from a single block of natural stone rather than cast or moulded, which is why the colour and the veining differ from the photograph and from every other piece of the same design.

The forms themselves carry long-standing symbolism. The elephant is associated with wisdom and memory across Indian tradition, and an elephant with a raised trunk is a common auspicious motif. The tortoise is a symbol of longevity and steadiness in both Indian and Chinese tradition, and in Vastu practice is conventionally placed facing into the home. These are symbols with real cultural history behind them — which is a better reason to keep one on a desk than any claim about the mineral.

Who they suit

Office desks, study tables, and gifts for students, colleagues and anyone setting up a new workspace. They are small enough not to crowd a desk and solid enough not to be knocked over easily. Dimensions and weight are on each product page.

Every figurine is Reiki-charged through our S.P.A.C.E. process before dispatch — a service we perform, not a property of the stone.

Care

Dust with a soft dry brush, working into the carved detail. Check the product page for the stone before going anywhere near water — several of these are water-sensitive. Set them down rather than dropping them; carved detail chips.

What this is, and what it isn't

These are decorative figures carved from natural stone. Crystals have a long place in tradition and in ritual practice, and that is the spirit in which we sell them. There is no peer-reviewed evidence that any stone carries healing energy, brings longevity or prosperity, treats a medical condition, or alters the physical energy of a room. Nothing on this page is medical or financial advice.
