Know More About This Product

Description

The Garnet Orgonite Coaster Pair — natural garnet chips set in orgonite resin with metal flecks, deep red in a clear base. Reiki-charged before dispatch. Traditionally associated with the root chakra and kept as a warm, grounding piece.

About the materials

Garnet is not one mineral but a family of silicates sharing a crystal structure — the familiar deep red is almandine. It is hard, 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, and was an abrasive long before it was a gemstone; garnet paper is still sold in hardware shops.

Orgonite is crystal chips and metal set in resin. The name comes from “orgone”, a life energy proposed by the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s. No evidence for orgone was ever found and Reich's claims were discredited — we would rather tell you that than let the word imply science. What you are buying is a well-made resin-and-stone object that catches light unusually well.

The tradition

  • Grounding: traditionally associated with the root chakra in crystal practice
  • Warmth: deep red is why people choose garnet over darker stones
  • Practice: commonly kept in a meditation or Reiki space
  • Decor: works on a desk, coffee table or altar

How to Use

  • As a coaster — for a cup, bottle or candle
  • As a small tray — for rings, tumbles or jewellery
  • In practice — during meditation or Reiki sessions
  • As decor — in a home or office

Material

  • Natural garnet chips
  • Orgonite resin base
  • Reiki-charged
  • Copper spiral or metal flecks

Care

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry it. No solvents — they haze cured resin permanently. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, which yellows resin over years.

What this is, and what it isn't

Garnet is a natural silicate, set here in resin. Crystals have a long place in tradition and in ritual practice, and that is the spirit in which we sell them. Orgone is not a recognised phenomenon, and there is no peer-reviewed evidence that any stone grounds or amplifies energy, strengthens a chakra, recharges another crystal, heals emotionally, or alters the physical energy of a room. Nothing here is medical advice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this real garnet, and how can I tell? +

Garnet is not one mineral but a family of silicates sharing a crystal structure; the familiar deep red is usually almandine or pyrope. Mohs 6.5 to 7.5. Natural garnet often shows a slightly brownish or purplish cast to the red rather than a pure fire-engine red, and frequently contains fine natural inclusions.

How should I look after this coaster? +

Durable in daily use. Avoid sharp knocks and ultrasonic cleaners. Lay it flat and lift it with both hands; thin flat pieces crack across the middle if picked up at one edge.

Does this coaster bring energy, passion or vitality? +

No. Garnet is traditionally associated with that, and the tradition is genuine and often very old, but there is no scientific evidence that any stone can bring energy, passion or vitality, or that it produces any physical or psychological effect. Nothing here is medical, psychological or financial advice. What it honestly does is remind you of something you decided yourself.

Note

Note: This product is non-returnable due to its delicate nature. All crystal products are handmade, so size, weight, and color may vary. Natural stones may have minor imperfections, which are not defects.
