How people use it

Stone stays cool against the skin, which is most of the appeal. The usual routine is a few drops of facial oil or serum first, then the roller worked outward from the centre of the face and downward along the neck, light pressure, a couple of minutes. The gua sha stone is held nearly flat to the skin and drawn along the same outward lines. Many people keep the set in the fridge so it is cold when they pick it up.

The massage itself is what you feel — pressure and cool stone. Any visible difference after use is short-lived and comes from the massage, not from the material.

Care

Wipe both pieces with a soft dry cloth after every use so oil does not build up on the stone or in the roller frame. An occasional wipe with a barely damp cloth is fine; do not soak it, and do not leave it in water, because water sitting in the metal frame will loosen it over time. Jade is a hard stone but it chips when dropped on tile — store it in a drawer or its box, not on the edge of a basin.
