Is this real zoisite, and how can I tell? +

Ruby zoisite, also called anyolite, is a rock rather than a single gem: opaque ruby crystals — corundum — set in a green zoisite matrix, usually with black hornblende. The ruby appears as irregular pink-red patches within the green, not as a separate faceted stone.

How should I look after this bracelet? +

The zoisite is much softer than the ruby within it, so the piece wears unevenly. Keep it out of ultrasonic cleaners and away from harsh chemicals. On a stretch bracelet the elastic is what fails first, not the stone, so roll it on and off rather than stretching it wide, and take it off before showering.

Does this bracelet aid healing or vitality? +

No. Zoisite is traditionally associated with that, and the tradition is genuine and often very old, but there is no scientific evidence that any stone can aid healing or vitality, or that it produces any physical or psychological effect.
