Snowflake Obsidian Bracelet – 8mm Diamond-Cut for Grounding & Clarity

Black glass formed by cooling lava, scattered with pale grey-blue crystal blooms that look exactly like snow caught mid-fall. Snowflake obsidian is the stone people wear when they want to see clearly and stay steady — 8mm faceted beads finished with silver-tone spacers and a detailed centre bead, Reiki-charged before it reaches you.

The stone that shows you the pattern

Obsidian is volcanic glass. The white markings in snowflake obsidian are cristobalite, a mineral that crystallised inside the black glass as it cooled — which is why no two beads carry the same pattern, and why the stone has always been associated with things surfacing from the dark.

That is the whole character of it. Where other protective stones deflect, snowflake obsidian is traditionally worn to reveal: the habit you keep repeating, the situation you keep re-entering, the thought loop that runs at 2am. It is a mirror before it is a shield.

What it supports

• Emotional balance — traditionally kept close to settle overthinking and quiet a busy mind
• Grounding — a root chakra stone, associated with feeling anchored when things move fast
• Mental clarity — worn to cut through fog before decisions that matter
• Protection, traditionally — long kept as a symbolic shield; it has no effect on other people or on a room
• Self-awareness — the quality that sets this stone apart: it is kept for noticing your own patterns, not just blocking outside ones

Which makes it a fit for anyone in a demanding environment, going through a transition, or doing the slow work of changing a habit.

Why 8mm diamond-cut

Diamond-cut means each bead is faceted rather than left smooth. On a black stone this matters more than on any other colour — facets catch light along their edges, so the bracelet reads as jewellery rather than as a plain dark cord. The white cristobalite markings sit against that, and the contrast is the entire look.

The silver-tone spacer rings and detailed centre bead do the same job in metal: three bright points that break up the run of stone and give the bracelet a front, so it sits on the wrist like a designed piece rather than a plain strand.

How to wear it

• Left wrist — the receiving side in most energy traditions, where you draw a stone's quality inward
• Daily — grounding stones work by consistency, not by ceremony
• During meditation — hold it when you want to sit with something rather than distract yourself from it
• Into difficult rooms — a hard meeting, a family gathering, a crowded commute. This is when the protective association earns its keep.

Caring for your bracelet

• Cleanse under moonlight, with sage or palo santo smoke, or on a selenite plate
• Avoid salt water and prolonged soaking — obsidian is glass and will dull
• Wipe with a soft dry cloth; keep perfume, sanitiser and harsh chemicals off the metal spacers
• Handle with care — obsidian is volcanic glass and can chip if knocked hard against a surface
• Remove before swimming, bathing or the gym, and the elastic will last considerably longer

Product details

Every bead carries a different arrangement of grey-blue markings — some densely flecked, some nearly solid black. That variation is the stone's signature, and no two bracelets are alike.
