Which stones are in this rakhi, and are they real?
Red jasper is an opaque chalcedony coloured by iron oxide — the same family as carnelian and agate, but fully opaque rather than translucent. Not everything here is stone: rudraksha is the dried seed of Elaeocarpus ganitrus, a tree, and it needs different care from the stone beside it. Everything is natural rather than a dyed substitute, and colour and pattern vary from piece to piece.
How should I look after a multi-stone rakhi?
Treat the whole piece as being as delicate as its most fragile stone, which here is the rudraksha seed. Because it is organic rather than mineral it needs different care from stone: repeated soaking is what cracks a seed, so a drop of oil occasionally keeps it from drying out. Keep the whole rakhi out of water, take it off before bathing, and store it in its box between wears rather than loose in a drawer.
Does this rakhi ground you or protect you?
No. These stones carry traditional associations, and those traditions are genuine and often very old, but there is no scientific evidence that any stone can ground you or protect you, or that it produces any physical or psychological effect. Nothing here is medical, psychological or financial advice. What it honestly does is remind you of something you decided yourself.
