Is opalite a natural stone?
No, and we would rather say so plainly than let the name do the work. Opalite is man-made opalescent glass — sometimes sold as sea opal or Argenon — and it is not opal, not moonstone, and not a mineral at all. The milky blue-white glow comes from fine particles suspended in the glass, which is why it turns warm amber against a light and cool blue against a dark background. It is genuinely pretty, and it is genuinely glass.
How should I look after this bracelet?
Glass is harder than people expect but chips on impact, so keep it from knocking against stone beads and hard edges. It will not fade in sunlight. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. On a stretch bracelet the elastic is what fails first, so roll it on and off rather than stretching it wide, and take it off before showering.
Does this bracelet amplify emotions or creativity?
No. Opalite has picked up traditional-sounding associations in modern crystal practice, though as a man-made material it has no old tradition behind it, and there is no scientific evidence that it produces any physical or psychological effect.
