Divine Bond Rakhi – Love & Togetherness

That is exactly what it is built for. It is strung on an adjustable thread with natural stone beads rather than made as a one-day decoration, so it can be worn as a bracelet afterwards or kept as a keepsake. Many people move it to a desk or a puja shelf rather than cutting it off.

It combines natural stones, thread and metal findings, so treat the whole thing as being as delicate as its most fragile part. Keep it out of water and take it off before bathing or swimming, since repeated wetting is what frays the thread and dulls the stones. Keep perfume and sanitiser off the metal, wipe it with a soft dry cloth, and store it in its box between wears rather than loose in a drawer.

No, and we would rather say so here than imply otherwise. There is no scientific evidence that any stone protects anyone, wards off negativity, or changes someone's luck, courage or fortunes. The meaning of Raksha Bandhan is in the act of tying the thread and what the two of you mean by it — that is the real thing, and it does not need a claim about the stones to be worth doing.
