Black tourmaline's mineral name is schorl — the iron-rich member of the tourmaline group, a complex borosilicate. Not everything here is stone: the evil eye bead is lampworked glass — the nazar is a Mediterranean and West Asian tradition going back millennia — and we would rather name it than let it pass as a gemstone. Everything is natural or genuinely made rather than a dyed substitute, and colour and pattern vary from piece to piece.

How should I look after a multi-stone bracelet? +

Treat the whole piece as being as delicate as its most fragile stone, which here is the glass evil eye bead. Glass chips on impact, so keep it from knocking against harder stones. Wipe it dry; keep solvents off any metal fitting.
