Frequently Asked Questions
Is the stone natural or a treated substitute?
It is natural stone, and every idol ships with a gemmological certificate identifying it. Green stones are among the most widely imitated in the world, with dyed serpentine, treated quartzite and glass all sold under premium names, so the certificate travels in the box with the piece.
What size is the idol and how heavy is it?
The idol stands 6 inches tall, roughly 15 cm, and is carved from a single solid block of stone. Weight varies from piece to piece because each is hand-carved from natural stone rather than moulded to a fixed specification.
Where should a Ganesha idol be placed at home?
Traditionally in the home mandir facing north or east, or in the north or south-east of a room, which Vastu associates with wealth. A Ganesha idol should face into the home rather than out of it, and should not be placed directly on the floor.
Can I keep this idol in my office or shop?
Yes, and it is a common choice. Ganesha is invoked at beginnings and before ventures, and green stone is associated with Budh, the planet of commerce and intellect. Near the entrance or the cash counter is the traditional placement for a place of business.
How long does delivery take?
This idol is made to order, so please allow up to 25 days for dispatch and delivery. Each piece is carved, certified and Reiki-charged individually rather than picked from stock, which is what accounts for the timeline.
Does it come with certification and packaging?
Yes. The idol arrives in a premium box with its gemmological certificate and the S.P.A.C.E. process card enclosed, ready to present or to install directly in your mandir.
How do I clean and care for the idol?
Wipe it with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid chemical cleaners, abrasive polish and full immersion in water. Place it on a cloth or wooden base rather than bare stone or metal, and lift it with both hands when moving it.
Will my idol look exactly like the photograph?
Very close, but not identical. Each idol is hand-carved from natural stone, so colour depth, veining and the fine detail of the carving vary between pieces. The size, form and finish stay consistent with the images shown on the page.
